Global ClimateStrike – Plant a Tree for Every Employee

Today the United Nations gives us 11 years to prevent irreversible damage to our planet. With a 1.5 degree global warming scenario we lose 70-90% of the planet’s coral reefs. At 2 degrees we lose over 99%. Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old schoolgirl, has inspired millions of children from 150 countries to take to the streets to pressure governments into acting. They are now are asking adults to join them. Not all employers are able to give their employees time off to join the ClimateStrike. Where it is not possible, for whatever reason, please plant a tree for every employee. https://readyfundgo.com/project/climate-

Help Teach Ted improve kids’ medical experiences

Each year, millions of children face challenging medical experiences. For families, finding resources to help prepare and support their child can be difficult. For service providers, treating anxious kids can lead to increased staffing and costs. At Teach Ted we are partnering with UNSW and Sydney Children’s Hospital to test the efficacy of our app prototype which helps reduce anxiety for children needing blood tests and ultrasounds by letting them travel virtually through the experience, learning who they’ll meet and what might happen. To see more and support their research project please visit https://bit.ly/2Yd5uKP

Belle’Botanique Allergen Free & Natural Perfumes

Our love of fragrance has been around for millennia. Over time, the way perfumes have been made has changed with the rise of potentially harmful chemicals found in mass market perfumes. Testing conducted by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics found 38 secret chemicals in 17 name brand fragrance products which were not listed on the label. Among them were chemicals associated with hormone disruption and allergic reactions. Belle’Botanique has created a range of Australian made all natural, non-toxic perfumes, including two allergen free perfumes. We can wear our favourite scents and take care of our skin without harming our health. https://bit.ly/2F1aMBC

A Cinema in Your Pocket

A “cinema in your pocket” revolutionises how we use projectors. Previous small projectors were low quality in design and display, and only worked in very dark rooms. Invented in Sydney by James Bailey, this projector offers professional and home users a unique opportunity to project video anywhere – even on a campsite! Weighing just 100 grams and smaller than a smartphone, Pocket.Graphics incorporates a totally new type of projection method producing the most vibrant colour possible. It connects to any phone or laptop in less than 5 seconds and can make a screen from 50cm to 4m in size (diagonal).

The World’s First IBO – Initial Bear Offering

The idea behind LOOP Upcycling is to turn corporate waste into wonder. We re-use old unwanted corporate uniforms to reduce landfill and remove an environmental challenge for big business. At the same time we create life-changing jobs for some of the most disadvantaged members of the community. The opportunity to create this unique business started with Virgin Australia who wanted to discard their old corporate uniforms in a safe, secure, environmentally friendly and ethical way. So together, we developed the “Branson Bear” made from recycled flight crew uniforms. Instead of sending the uniforms as waste to landfill we started creating and supplying thousands of versions of this unique and wonderful bear. To produce our much loved teddy bears on a commercial scale we are inviting the crowdfunding community to be part of our journey. The crowdfunding campaign starts with ReadyFundGo on 30 April. https://readyfundgo.com/project/loop
